I'd love to visit, but the PNW is where it's at living wise in my opinion

Wait—all the commercials on tv show them coming to you and changing the windshield while you are grocery shopping or something.

I had Safelite replace the windshield on my truck back in 2014, when it was still in North Carolina in my parents’
driveway. Not only did they accept credit card payment over the phone, they also came to my parents’ house and replaced it on the spot, AND even gave my dad a few minutes to get a pencil rubbing of the dashboard VIN plate which would otherwise have been nearly impossible to do, for purposes of getting the title transferred to PA in my name without the truck being present (The plan being, to get it registered and bring the plate down with me to NC, put the plate on the truck and then drive it back home). 6 years later and the windshield is fine, no leaks. They did a great job. I think it took em about 90 minutes start to finish. Cheap too, IIRC it was like $250 for on-site replacement including the cost of the windshield.

Extra charge. I live about 30 miles away.

Yeah it’s $ 262 with tax and two windshield wipers which were an optional extra. Since they cost less than comparable autozone wipers i bought them as well since i needed new wipers.

Good deal. I actually looked up my statement
from back in 2014, turns out it was NOT Safelite. It was a local outfit in Raleigh
called Glassnique who replaced that windshield for $171.75 including tax. I think I was confusing the amount with a more recent windshield replacement on a Lincoln Zephyr that I have since passed on to a new custodian. Now I’m looking up my records to see which windshield I actually DID have replaced by Safelite..

I had safelite replace the windshield on my 97 LS400. Rust bubble under the weather stripping at the top of the windshield caused a stress fracture. The tech came out and removed my windshield for me, and made a return appointment to allow me to fix the rust. Dude even gave me some tips on how to repair it, really could not be more impressed with their service. No extra charges for coming back, and the glass is entirely reasonable quality.
I will be having them replace my 98 LS windshield as well, come spring time.

Hey, guess what I’m about to do! I’m headed there now to replace the windshield on my work van which has needed it for, oh, a year or so.
